Finland is slowly getting back to work. In southern Europe the holiday season is still going on. Hopefully everyone has had and will have a nice and relaxing summer. At least in Messeforum, our team has stored a lot of energy for the winter.
In fact, we did not stay quite inactive in the summer. Spring and early summer were still full of trade fair projects, and we were involved in many interesting projects implementing carbon neutral exhibition stands in different countries.
Our latest projects in spring and summer included large joint stands: the Finnish World Hydrogen Summit pavilion in Rotterdam, the Skion Water Group joint stand at IFAT in Munich and the largest ever Finnish B2B food pavilion at PLMA in Amsterdam, supplemented by a few individual stands.
At Achema in Frankfurt, we had the opportunity to build the stands of several Finnish and Swedish companies, of course in a carbon neutral way. We also had many individual stands during the spring and summer, such as the stand of our long-time customer Tapojärvi at the Northern Industry event in Oulu, the Vexve Oy stand at ISH China & Cihe in China, and the Fortum Waste Solutions stand at the PRS Europe fair in Amsterdam. Even July was not entirely inactive. We were present at Nordstil in Hamburg implementing the Swedish Wasa Ecotextil and Finnish Muurla Design Marketing stands.
Hustle and bustle at this spring’s IFAT on the Skion Water Group’s carbon neutral joint stand.
Messeforum’s carbon footprint in 2023
Now the Messeforum team is back from holidays, and we are already in full swing planning projects for autumn and next year. If you are planning to participate in a trade fair, please contact us and we will be with you from the start to help you get the most out of your participation. And remember that Messeforum stands are always carbon neutral and thus support the progress towards a lower-carbon world.
During the summer, we also worked on sustainability. Messeforum’s emission calculation for 2023 was completed in early summer. The calculation was carried out by the expert company OpenCO2net Oy and it was based on the official Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14067 standards for emission calculations.
All scope 1 and scope 2 emissions from our operations were considered, as well as scope 3 emissions which already had been calculated during the implementation of the exhibition stands. The total greenhouse gas emissions from our activities in 2023 amount to 313 tonnes of CO2e. Relative to the growth of our business, our emissions intensity in 2023 decreased by 1.4 tonnes CO2e/million € from the previous year.
If you would like to have more information about our emission calculation or would like to order a stand from us, please do not hesitate to contact us. You’ll find all our contact data in here.
