Messeforum had a busy start for the new year. This year’s calendar is full of interesting events, and our exhibition stands will again be seen at trade fairs around the world. In January, we have already build stands in Frankfurt, Paris and Berlin.
Our first stand construction project of the year was the Wendre Group‘s stand at Heimtextil in Frankfurt. At the Maison & Objet in Paris, we were able to serve both Swedish and Danish clients. At the Grüne Woche in Berlin, we once again created a Finland pavilion for Finnish food companies. The year continues in full swing.
Finnish flavours will be on display at the Grüne Woche in Berlin in the carbon neutral pavilion created by Messeforum.
Exhibition stands with skill and experience
Our experienced project management team and skilled network of partners provide an easy way for your company to participate in trade fairs. Once we have agreed the stand configuration with you, you can concentrate on the actual sales and marketing work related to the trade fair, as Messeforum will take care of everything related to the exhibition stand.
All our exhibition stands are always carbon neutral. Reducing the carbon footprint has become more important every year for companies from all sectors, and even small climate actions make a difference. By ordering a carbon neutral exhibition stand from Messeforum, you can reduce the carbon footprint of your company’s trade fair participation.
Joining the Science Based Targets initiative
At the end of 2024, Messeforum took another step forward in its climate work. We applied for and were accepted to join the Science Based Targets initiative. We are one of 167 Finnish and 7085 global companies that have set their own science-based climate targets, validated by SBTi.
Science Based Targets is an initiative launched in 2015 by the UN Global Compact, CDP, the World Resources Institute and WWF. It aims to halt global warming by halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050. The initiative is one of the most important concrete climate action tools for the private sector, with new companies joining the initiative all the time.
Messeforum’s target is a so-called near-term commitment, suitable especially to SMEs. We aim to reduce our absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 compared to 2023, and to measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions.
To qualify for Science Based Targets initiative, a company must calculate its carbon footprint according to the GHG Protocol and clearly communicate its climate targets and the actions it is taking to achieve them. At Messeforum, we have been calculating the emissions of our exhibition stands since 2020, and company-level emissions since 2022. Our emission calculations are carried out in strict compliance with standards and our emissions calculation partner OpenCO2net Oy spars with us as we move towards even lower emissions. On our website, you can follow how we report on our progress each year.
